One Experience of Selecting Bridesmaid Dresses
Lucy, one of my best friends, would get married on Sunday this week, and she invited me to serve as the bridesmaid. I agreed with her. I was very glad since it was my first time to serving as a bridesmaid, and I planned to elaborately make up.
Bridesmaid Dresses
I went to the dress stores to select my bridesmaid dress. I came to the store, and I was allured by so many dresses, including evening dresses and Party dresses, and I loved everyone very much. In the end, I purchased a beautiful dress among bridesmaid dresses, and I was so pleased. However, when I show the dress to Lucy, Lucy told me that the bridesmaid dresses should be matched with bridal wedding dress, but she had not purchased wedding dress at all.
Due to this, I and Lucy went to the store to select dresses for both her and me. After selecting for a while, Lucy selected a white wedding dress with lace edges among diverse bridal wedding dresses, and I purchased a beautiful gown among the bridesmaid gowns. The shopkeeper told us that bridesmaid dresses were different than Party dresses & evening dresses, they should reflect the bride’s dresses’ charm instead of themselves. Therefore, my gown was beautiful, but it was worse than Lucy’s wedding dresses.
In addition, I and Lucy went to an accessories store to select wedding accessories to Lucy, and we went back after purchasing lots of products.
According to this experience, I learned the following lessons:
1 Bridesmaid dresses should not be more beautiful & eye-catching than bridal wedding dresses, because the leading role is bride instead of bridesmaid on a wedding ceremony.
2 Bridesmaid dresses should be perfectly matched with bridal wedding dresses, which is much important on a wedding ceremony. Therefore, I dreamed that I will become the leading role one day. However, I was willing to be the green leaf to reflect Lucy’s beauty, because she was my best friend.
